IllustrationThe BMA365 Bamberg Baskets celebrated a road win on the fourth matchday of the Basketball Bundesliga. The reigning cup winner defeated reigning German champion ALBA Berlin 98-83.
In front of 9,060 spectators at Berlin's Uber Arena, the visitors took early control. Daniel Keppeler came off the bench in the first quarter and scored seven points by the seventh minute, when the score reached 15-3. Bamberg already held a double-digit lead by the middle of the first quarter.
Berlin launched a comeback in the final quarter. With just under six minutes remaining, Malte Delow hit a three-pointer to cut the hosts' deficit to 72-75.
Bamberg reacted immediately to the closing score. Jordan Wright answered with a basket to make it 77-72 and launched the final phase, in which the visitors safely closed out the win.
